Nila Costa (b.1980) Brazilian photographer, artist and visage analisty specializing in photographing women.
More than 3,200 women have posed in front of Nila’s camera. Her eye always reveals the true feminine essence, bringing out the beauty of every woman she photographs.
Nila Costa's photographs are true works of art. They are always contextualized with archetypal symbols, and unusual and creative elements that enchant and reflect, such as: steel, wire, grids, moving fabrics, marche paper, tree trunks, flowers and natural leaves.
Her studio, located in Rio de Janeiro, is one of the most prestigious and sought after for female photography.
Over the past few years, Nila Costa has also been focusing on the academic and artistic area. She spoke for two consecutive years at the largest photography congress in Latin America, and the second largest in the world, for an audience of 3,000 professionals in the area.
It is requested by Brazilian and international curators to present their creative work. Her last exhibition in Brazil was at the National Congress of Brasília in 2017.
In Miami, she participated in ArtBasel Week in 2017; one of the biggest art fairs in the world.
Her work has been published in major national magazines such as Marie Claire, Quem, Caras, etc . She also had her work highlighted and shown on the main TV stations in Brazil: Rede Globo, SBT and Rede Record.
